Continuation of the benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “That is because their messengers used to come to them with clear proofs, but they disbelieved, so Allah seized them. Indeed, He is Almighty, severe in punishment.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent to us by Allah. Did we know how to perform ablution? Did we know how to pray? We did not know. But out of the mercy of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), He sent a Messenger to us who taught us how to perform ablution and how to pray. And following this ablution and prayer is the forgiveness of sins. When a person performs ablution, his sins leave with the last drop of water. And when he prays, the five daily prayers are expiations for what occurs between them. And if he performs ablution in his home, completes the ablution properly, and goes out to the mosque, with nothing but prayer being the reason for his going out, he does not take a single step but that Allah raises him thereby a degree and removes from him thereby a sin. Count your steps from your home to the mosque, five times a day and night; that is a lot. All of this is from the grace of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And were it not that Allah guided us with guidance of instruction—and we ask Allah the Exalted to complete it with guidance of success—we would have perished and not known how to worship Allah. This is from the mercy of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) that He sent the messengers to the nations to make things clear to them. And if you say that we have not reached this verse, you are truthful, and we will make it our topic tomorrow, if Allah wills.
