The benefit of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “And he who believed said, ‘O my people, follow me, and I will guide you to the path of success. O my people, indeed this worldly life is only a temporary enjoyment, and the Hereafter is the home of permanence.’”

There are benefits in these three verses:
First: The gentleness of this caller, this believing man who calls to Allah, as He said:
O my people يا قوم
This is undoubtedly one of the methods of gentleness.
And among the benefits of this verse, which is the first verse, is the boldness of this believer, as he was a single man saying to this group, “Follow me.” And this, as we said in the tafsir, is a command.
And among the benefits of this verse is that it is incumbent upon the caller, when he calls to something, to clarify what will encourage the one being called so that he becomes motivated and acts, as He said:
I will guide you to the way of right conduct.
[Ghafir 40:38]
.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is the indication of the lie of Pharaoh when he said to his people:
I do not show you except what I see, and I do not guide you except to the way of right conduct." ما أريكم إلا ما أرى وما أهديكم إلا سبيل الرشاد
[Ghafir 40:29]
So he distinguished between the statement of Pharaoh and the statement of this believer; the statement of Pharaoh was a lie, and the statement of this man is the truth, without doubt.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that paths differ: there are paths of misguidance, paths of deviation, and paths of success. The path that leads to Allah is the path of success, and the divergent paths are paths of misguidance. Allah the Exalted said:
And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way.
[Al-An'am: 153].
And among the benefits of this noble verse is the explanation of the state of this world, that it is a temporary enjoyment in which a person takes pleasure, and then it departs, either by the departure of this enjoyment or by the departure of the one enjoying it. For this reason, look at the ends of this world: is there anyone who was immortalized in it? Is there anyone who was immortalized with what is before him? None of that was the case. So the world is either departing or is departed from. Allah the Exalted said:
And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die - would they be eternal?
[Al-Anbya 21:34]
.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that the world is confined to this few words, namely “temporary enjoyment.” The entire world is a temporary enjoyment and does not bear more than that.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is the preparation and desire for the Hereafter, as He said:
and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement.
[Ghafir 40:39]
When this is combined with what came before it, it includes two benefits: asceticism regarding the world and desire for the Hereafter.
