Is there a contradiction between Allah the Exalted choosing Musa (peace be upon him) with His speech and His message, and the speech of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) to Allah Mighty and Majestic when he was taken up?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : It is well known that Musa (peace be upon him) is the one who spoke with Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) chose him with His message and His speech. But does this contradict the story of the Night Journey and the Ascension, in which the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), when the five prayers were made obligatory upon him, was left between him and his Lord until it was reduced to five? This also indicates that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) spoke to him. So how do we reconcile the two reports: the report of Musa (peace be upon him) and Allah (Mighty and Majestic) speaking to our master Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The Shaykh : Where is the contradiction?

The questioner : That Musa (peace be upon him), as Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said, and as Adam said:
Allah has chosen you with His speech and His message اصطفاك الله بكلامه وبرسالته
and as it came in the verse, and the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), when he was taken up to the heavens, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) spoke to him. How does that mean? Was the speech for Musa (peace be upon him) and for our master Muhammad, or only for Musa (peace be upon him)?

The Shaykh : Fine, when did Adam speak to Musa, before the Messenger’s ascent or after it?

The questioner : By Allah, I do not know.

The Shaykh : How do you not know?

The questioner : Before.

The Shaykh : Before.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : So if you consider the fact that it was before, as the Turk says, if you consider the fact that it was before, the question collapses, because Adam does not know the unseen; he knows only what Allah taught him.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : So he met Musa (peace be upon him) in the realm of the unseen.

The questioner : Yes, exactly.

The Shaykh : And a discussion took place between them, and Adam said to him what he said, but Adam did not know that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would come in the last of times and speak with Allah in a specific circumstance. We do not have this knowledge until the issue arises.

The questioner : Fine, and the verse, O Shaykh, in Surat al-A'raf.

The Shaykh : And it gave us the meaning.

The questioner : That Allah (Mighty and Majestic) chose Musa (peace be upon him) with His speech and His message.

The Shaykh : I am talking about the Messenger Muhammad.

The questioner : I am not talking about the Messenger; I am talking about Musa (peace be upon him).

The Shaykh : You, my brother, are talking about Adam, Musa, and Muhammad.

The questioner : I am talking about Musa and Muhammad.

The Shaykh : About Adam, Musa, and Muhammad.

The questioner : Adam argued with Musa and said to him such and such.

The Shaykh : Your statement concerns the three of them.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : And I took one of the three, which is Adam. Did Adam know that when Muhammad was sent, he would ascend to the sky and be taken up to the heavens?

The questioner: No.

The Shaykh : So then, where is the problem, my brother?

The questioner : I assumed there was a problem.

The Shaykh : The important thing is that it has become clear to you that there is no problem.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good, if Allah wills.
