And His saying: The author said: “inviolable” and there is no doubt that is among the meanings of but it is more comprehensive than what the author said : meaning inviolable, i.e., it is impossible for anyone to harm it without Allah exposing him. Second: meaning dominant, so the Qur’an is undoubtedly dominant over others, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted: [At-Tawbah 9:33] so it is dominant over everything. So it is impossible for anyone to harm it without Allah exposing him, and secondly: that it is dominant. Therefore, when the Muslim community held fast to it, it was dominant; it toppled the thrones of Kisra and Caesar and others of the tyrants, and the east and west of the earth were conquered by it. So when the Muslim community turned away from it, it was deprived of this great good, which is might, dominance, and subjugation.
