Explanation of the author's statement: The eleventh: The verse from Surat al-Nisa' known as the Verse of the Ten Rights, which Allah the Exalted began with His saying

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Allah began it with His saying
Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him
[An-Nisa 4:36]
We see... the ten that are in it
Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess
[An-Nisa 4:36]

The student: The traveler is mentioned in it

The Shaykh :
Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy
[An-Nisa 4:36]

The student: And the neighbor
The student: ...
The student: No, the neighbor

The Shaykh : And the neighbor who is a relative, is the traveler not present in it?
The student: The neighbor

The Shaykh :
the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler
[An-Nisa 4:36]
Six
The student: And what your right hands possess

The Shaykh :
those your right hand possesses
[An-Nisa 4:3]
Yes, indeed, these are ten. These rights were begun with His saying
Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him
[An-Nisa 4:36]
because it is the most deserving of rights and the most obligatory of rights, and the rights do not benefit except through it, the rights do not benefit except through it. For this reason, he said
Hakim ibn Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (may Allah's prayer and peace be upon him) that he used to give charity, free slaves, and maintain ties of kinship during the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, whether he had any reward for that. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have embraced Islam with the good I did before.
I have embraced Islam with the good I did before. This indicates that if he had not embraced Islam, he would have had no reward for that. Thus, all these rights do not benefit except by establishing the first right, which is the right of Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He.
"The twelfth: Drawing attention to the will of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at the time of his death" And where?
The student: The hadith of Ibn Mas'ud

The Shaykh : The hadith, the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud, but did the Messenger (may Allah's prayer and peace be upon him) bequeath it?
The student: No.

The Shaykh : No, but the Messenger indicated that if we hold fast to the Book of Allah, we will not go astray after it. And among the greatest things that came in the Book of Allah are these verses
Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. قل تعالوا أتل ما حرم ربكم عليكم
[Al-An'am 6:151]
But despite that, it is established from the Prophet (may Allah's prayer and peace be upon him) that he used to bequeath prayer at the time of his death, yes or no? And what your right hands possess.
"The thirteenth: Knowing the right of Allah upon us" And what is His right upon us? That we worship Him and do not associate anything with Him.
"The fourteenth: Knowing the right of the servants upon him if they fulfill His right" The author (may Allah have mercy on him) qualified it by saying "if they fulfill His right," because the Prophet (may Allah's prayer and peace be upon him) said:
He does not punish him who associates not anything with Him
Sahih Muslim 30b
meaning, whoever fulfills His right without destruction, as for whoever does not do that, he is deserving of being punished.
