Wishing for death and asking for it is not permissible

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad. As for what follows:
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings:
Shaykh Abdulaziz, may Allah reward you with good for answering me. I had sent a message to inquire about something and to ask you to make du'a for me in the House of Allah. In that case, I had sought guidance from Allah to send you a message so that you would point me in the right direction and make du'a for me.
But this time, I did not seek guidance from Allah, and I do not know whether the request I am making will be granted to me or not. This request is for you to make du'a for me in the House of Allah that He hasten my death. I have called upon Allah many times, for nearly four years, and I have prayed the prayer of need for Allah to hasten my death, but unfortunately, He has not taken my soul until now.
Is it possible for you to make du'a for me? If you are willing to tell me that, if Allah wills, you will make du'a for me, here is my address: Taha Hussein Street - Al-Manzalah - Dakahlia - Egypt - M.A.A.A.

A: And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. As for what follows:
Asking for death, my brother, is not permissible, and wishing for it is also not permissible; because of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
None of you should make a request for death because of the trouble in which he is involved, but if there is no other help to it, then say: O Allah, keep me alive as long as there is goodness in life for me and bring death to me when there is goodness in death for me.لا يتمنين أحدكم الموت لضر نزل به؛ فإن كان لا بد متمنيًا فليقل: اللهم أحيني ما كانت الحياة خيرًا لي، وتوفني إذا كانت الوفاة خيرًا لي
Sahih Muslim 2680a
It is agreed upon that it is authentic.
And among his supplications, may peace and blessings be upon him, was:
O Allah, by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over all creation, keep me alive as long as You know that life is better for me, and cause me to die when You know that death is better for me.اللهم بعلمك الغيب وقدرتك على الخلق أحينيي ما علمت الحياة خيرًا لي، وتوفني إذا كانت الوفاة خيرًا لي
Sahih Ibn Hibban 10:258
So we advise you to make this supplication. May Allah rectify your condition and decree for you what is in good and righteousness, and a good outcome.
And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
