Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Okay, so what is the ruling on a woman whose bleeding has stopped for a year, who is fifty years old, meaning a drop of blood comes down that is red, and then after that, in the same day, the white discharge also comes down? Is this menstruation?

The Shaykh : A year has passed and she has not seen it?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : A year has passed for her and she has not seen it?

The questioner : She has not seen it, and she is advanced in age.

The Shaykh : Okay, what does she think about herself? That she has reached the age of menopause?

The questioner : Yes, she says, "I am old."

The Shaykh : If she has reached the age of menopause, then what she sees is blood of irregular bleeding, not blood of menstruation.

The questioner : Yes, you look, our Shaykh, you mean its color is red, and after a period, maybe an hour or two, something white comes down, meaning the white discharge in the same day.

The Shaykh : I am not concerned with that as much as I am concerned with whether she has reached the age of menopause or not? If she has reached the age of menopause, then what she sees is blood of irregular bleeding, not blood of menstruation.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.

The Shaykh : May Allah bless you.
