No making up of missed acts of worship for an apostate who repents

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: Is an apostate required to make up the prayers and fasts he missed if he returns to Islam and repents to Allah?

Answer: He does not have to make up the missed prayers, and whoever repents, Allah accepts his repentance. If a person abandons prayer or commits one of the nullifiers of Islam, and then Allah guides him and he repents, he does not have to make up what he missed. This is the correct opinion among the scholars; because Islam wipes out what came before it, and repentance demolishes what came before it. Allah the Exalted said:
Say to those who have disbelieved [that] if they cease, what has previously occurred will be forgiven for themقُل لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ إِن يَنتَهُواْ يُغَفَرْ لَهُم مَّا قَدْ سَلَفَ
[Al-Anfal: 38]. Thus, Allah made it clear that if a disbeliever embraces Islam, Allah forgives him what he did before. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Repentance wipes out what came before it, and Islam demolishes what came before itالتوبة تجب ما قبلها والإسلام يهدم ما كان قبله
