Ruling on the fasting of one who caressed his wife and emitted pre-seminal fluid

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: What you mentioned regarding the caressing that occurred between you and your wife during the day in Ramadan, which led to you sitting between her thighs, embracing her, and kissing her, and the emission of pre-seminal fluid from you as a result, although you did not have intercourse, and that this happened on your part for six or seven days, and your question about the validity of your fast?

Answer: There is scholarly disagreement on this issue; some scholars held that the fast is defective due to the emission of pre-seminal fluid, while others held that it is valid.
The correct view, if Allah wills, is that the fast is valid and there is no obligation on either of you to make it up. However, a believer should avoid actions that lead to the emission of pre-seminal fluid, such as embracing and kissing. It is authentically reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he used to kiss while fasting and caress while fasting. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “But he was the most in control of his desire among you.” It was also reported from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that two men asked him about kissing while fasting, so he prohibited it for one and permitted it for the other. The narrator said: “We looked, and the one for whom it was permitted was an old man, and the one for whom it was prohibited was a young man.”
The scholars derived from this that kissing and caressing are disliked for young men and those like them, whose desire is stirred by such acts and who are feared to commit the forbidden act. As for one from whom that is not feared, there is no dislike in his case. And success is from Allah.
