If one leaves off paying zakah, he is obligated to pay it for the years that have passed

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: I am a person who has not paid zakah since I reached the nisab, which was about three years ago. I estimated that what I have in my possession or in the debt of others to me is a specific amount. So, if the third lunar year is completed this year, do I pay the zakah for the three years that have passed, knowing that I am able and capable of doing so? Or what is the course of action?

A: Pay the zakah for the two past lunar years, seek forgiveness from your Lord, and repent to Him for what you delayed. When the third lunar year is completed, pay its zakah. Do not delay the zakah; rather, hasten to pay the zakah for the two years along with repentance and seeking forgiveness. When the third lunar year is completed, pay its zakah.
