Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

The Shaykh : What do you have?
The reader: ... In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ibn Taymiyyah said in al-Wasitiyyah regarding the affirmation of the amazement of the Lord, Mighty and Majestic is He, saying: "And His saying:
Our Lord was amazed by the despair of His servants and the nearness of others. He looks at you, two who are despairing, and He keeps laughing, knowing that your relief is near. عجب ربنا من قنوط عباده وقرب غيره ينظر إليكم أزلين قنطين فيظل يضحك يعلم أن فرجكم قربيب
is a good hadith"
. This hadith was narrated by Imam Ahmad in his Musnad, volume four, page thirteen, with the wording: "He looks down upon you, two who are fearful, and He keeps laughing, having known that your relief is near."

The Shaykh : Near.
The reader: Near. And Imam Ahmad also narrated it in his Musnad, volume four, page twelve, with another wording:
Our Lord laughed at the despair of His servants and the nearness of others. ضحك ربنا من قنوط عياده وقرب غيره
Ibn Majah also narrated it with this wording in his Sunan, volume one, page sixty-four. The six books did not mention it with the feminine wording except these.

The Shaykh : But okay, did you not see the chains of narration and the narrators?
The student: All the chains are here, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes, but I did not see what the status is or what its rank is. The author says it is a good hadith, but what is its rank?
The student: Imam Ahmad mentioned that it is good, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Subhan Allah, do you have anything?
The student: The hadith of Abu Musa.

The Shaykh : Come on, I will take three now. This is the third... your name is on it.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes, we finished it, but... let him finish it.

The questioner : Shaykh... just the location.

The Shaykh : Yes
The student: It is...

The Shaykh : Yes, exactly.
