Explanation of the statement of Ibn Malik (may Allah have mercy on him): The transitivity and intransitivity of the verb

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The transitivity and intransitivity of the verb". The verb is divided into two categories: transitive, which is the one that puts the object in the accusative case, and its sign is that it is valid to convert it into a passive participle; this is the sign of the transitive verb. And intransitive, which is the one that does not put the object in the accusative case, and its sign is that it is not valid to form a passive participle from it. Therefore, the verb is divided into two categories, and for this reason the author restricted the title to these two, saying: "The transitivity and intransitivity of the verb".
