The ruling on one who intends Hajj and then decides to change the intention for a relative
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: A man intended Hajj for himself, having performed Hajj before, and then he decided to change the intention for a relative of his while he was at 'Arafah. What is the ruling on that, and is it permissible for him to do so or not?
Answer: If a person enters the state of ihram for Hajj for himself, he is not allowed to change it afterward, neither on the way nor at 'Arafah nor anywhere else. Rather, he must complete it for himself and not change it, neither for his father nor for his mother nor for anyone else. Rather, the Hajj is specific to him; because of the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) : [al-Baqarah:196]. So if he enters the state of ihram for himself, it is obligatory for him to complete it for himself, and if he enters the state of ihram for someone else, it is obligatory for him to complete it for that person. He does not change it after entering the state of ihram if he had performed Hajj for himself, and the same applies to 'Umrah.

And complete the Hajj and 'umrah for Allah
وَأَتِمُّواْ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلّهِ
