The ruling on one who breaks ritual purity during tawaf

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: I have a relative who performed 'Umrah in Ramadan. When she entered the sacred precinct, she broke her minor ritual purity; gas passed from her, and she was too shy to tell her family that she wanted to perform wudu'. She then performed tawaf, and when she finished, she went off by herself, performed wudu', and then performed sa'y. Does she have to offer a sacrificial animal or pay an expiation? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer: Her tawaf is not valid, because one of the conditions for the validity of tawaf is ritual purity, just as in prayer. She must return to Makkah and perform tawaf around the House. It is recommended for her to repeat sa'y, because most scholars do not permit performing it before tawaf. Then she should shorten the hair from her entire head and exit the state of ihram. If she is married and her husband has had intercourse with her, she must offer a sacrificial animal to be slaughtered in Makkah for the poor, and she must perform a new 'Umrah from the miqat from which she entered ihram for the first 'Umrah, because the 'Umrah became invalid due to the intercourse. She must do what we have mentioned and then perform the new 'Umrah from the miqat from which she entered ihram for the first 'Umrah, whether immediately or at another time, according to her ability. And success is from Allah.
