The ruling on a woman who menstruated during tawaf and did not inform anyone

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This is a questioner for the program who says, “May the Shaykh be respected: I recall that I am a woman who performed Hajj several years ago. After a few days, and while performing tawaf, my period started. I did not inform anyone, not even my husband. She says: I am an elderly woman, and I would like your respected opinion on what I should do?”

Answer:
If the tawaf was voluntary, she owes nothing. If the tawaf was obligatory—whether it was the tawaf of 'Umrah, the obligatory tawaf of Hajj, the tawaf of ifadah, the tawaf of 'Umrah, or the tawaf of farewell—then she has an obligation. If it was the tawaf of farewell, she must sacrifice an animal to be slaughtered in place of the tawaf of farewell in Makkah for the poor. She should appoint someone to slaughter it for the poor in Makkah. If it was the tawaf of ifadah or the tawaf of 'Umrah, she must return. If she has already returned and performed another Hajj or another 'Umrah, that is sufficient, and praise be to Allah. If she has not performed an 'Umrah or a Hajj, she must return to perform the 'Umrah for which she menstruated during its tawaf, or to perform the tawaf for the Hajj for which she menstruated during its tawaf, even if years have passed. The tawaf is still upon her. She returns to Makkah and performs the tawaf that is upon her, the tawaf of Hajj. If it was an 'Umrah, she must come and perform the tawaf of 'Umrah, perform sa'y, and shorten her hair, even if years have passed.
If her husband came to her—she has a husband—she must sacrifice an animal in Makkah for the poor, in the case of the tawaf of 'Umrah. Likewise, if it was in the tawaf of Hajj. If it was in the tawaf of 'Umrah, she must repeat the 'Umrah. She completes this 'Umrah and then comes with a new 'Umrah from the miqat from which she entered ihram for the first 'Umrah. Yes.
