He wants to marry, but he does not pray

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: I have a son who wants to get married, but he does not pray, and he commits some sins. I want to marry him off, hoping that this might correct the course of his life. Is that permissible for me? What is your advice? May Allah reward you with good. We also ask for your prayers for him. May Allah guide you.

Answer: It is obligatory for you to advise him and discipline him until he prays. You are not permitted to marry him off until he prays, because abandoning the prayer is disbelief. This is based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Between a man and disbelief and shirk (associating partners with Allah) is the abandonment of prayer.بين الرجل وبين الكفر والشرك ترك الصلاة
, and his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
The covenant that distinguishes between us and them is prayer; so whoever leaves it, he has committed Kufr.العهد الذي بيننا وبينهم الصلاة فمن تركها فقد كفر
Sunan Ibn Majah 1079Sahih (Darussalam)
, which was narrated by Ahmad and the people of the four Sunan collections with a sound chain of narration.
We ask Allah for guidance for us and for him, and we ask Allah to help you in reforming him. Among the means of his reform is warning him against bad companions and advising him to keep the company of the righteous. We ask Allah to help you and him in everything that leads to his reform.
