The reciter: 'Abd ibn Humayd narrated to me, saying: Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim informed me, saying: Muhammad, who is the son of al-Zuhri's brother, narrated to us from his maternal uncle, saying: Salim ibn 'Abdullah informed us that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said:
I divorced my wife while she was menstruating, and 'Umar mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became angry, then he said: "Tell him to take her back until she menstruates another period, a new one other than the period in which he divorced her. If he then sees fit to divorce her, let him divorce her while she is pure from her menstruation, before he touches her. That is the divorce for the waiting period as Allah has commanded."
And 'Abdullah had divorced her with one divorce, which was counted as one of her divorces, and 'Abdullah took her back as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had ordered him.
