The reader: "And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said
It was narrated that `Uthman bin `Affan (رضي الله عنه) said: A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I prayed but I do not know whether I did an even number [of rak`ahs] or an odd number. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: `Beware lest the Shaitan toy with you in your prayer. Whoever among you prays and does not know whether he did an even number [of rak`ahs] or an odd number, let him prostrate twice, for that will complete his prayer.` It was narrated that Masarrah bin Ma`bad said: Yazeed bin Abi Kabshah led us in praying `Asr, then he turned to us after the prayer and said: I prayed with Marwan bin al-Hakam and he did two prostrations like these, then he turned to us and told us that he prayed with ‘Uthman (رضي الله عنه), who narrated from the Prophet (ﷺ) ... and he mentioned a similar report. جاء رجل إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال يا رسول الله أي الصدقة أعظم أجرا

And from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), who said
a man said to the Prophet at the battle of Uhud, “Tell me where I shall be if I am killed,” and that when he replied that he would be in paradise he threw away some dates he had in his hand and fought till he was killed. قال رجل للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم أحد أرأيت إن قتلت فأين أنا قال في الجنة فألقى تمرات كن في يده ثم قاتل حتى قتل

And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said
Abu Hurayra said, "A man came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said, 'Messenger of Allah, which sadaqa has the best reward?' He said, 'By your father, you will learn of it. It is that you give sadaqa while you are healthy and avaricious, fearful of poverty and desirous of wealth. You should not delay it until you are at the point of death and then say, "This much is for so-and-so. This much is for so-and-so. This much is for so-and-so."'" جاء رجل إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال يا رسول الله أي الصدقة أعظم أجرا قال: أن تصدق وأنت صحيح شحيح تخشى الفقر وتأمل الغنى ولا تمهل حتى إذا بلغت الحلقوم قلت لفلان كذا ولفلان كذا وكان لفلان
