Continuation of the explanation of the statement of Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding what he quoted: "."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
We have previously discussed this hadith, most of it, and what remains is his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Taqwa is here, and he pointed to his chest
. We have already explained its meaning to you, which is that taqwa is in the heart. If the heart has taqwa, the limbs have taqwa, and if the heart deviates, the limbs deviate, may Allah protect us from that. Allah the Exalted said:
And when they deviated, Allah caused their hearts to deviate. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.
[As-Saf 61:5]
.
Know that the deviation of the heart does not occur except by the person’s own doing. If a person desires evil and does not desire good, his heart will deviate, may Allah protect us from that. The evidence for this is His saying (the Exalted):
And when they deviated, Allah caused their hearts to deviate.
[As-Saf 61:5]
, and His saying (the Exalted):
O Prophet, say to whoever is in your hands of the captives, "If Allah knows [any] good in your hearts, He will give you [something] better than what was taken from you, and He will forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."
[Al-Anfal 8:70]
.
When Allah knows from the servant a righteous intention and a desire for good, Allah makes it easy for him and helps him with it. Allah the Exalted said:
So as for he who gives and fears Allah and believes in the best, We will make easy for him the easy way.
.
He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
It is a serious evil for a Muslim that he should look down upon his brother Muslim
Sahih Muslim 2564a
. This means that if a person had no evil other than looking down upon his Muslim brother, that would be sufficient. This indicates the magnitude of the sin of one who looks down upon his Muslim brothers, because it is obligatory for the Muslim to honor his Muslim brothers, to hold them in high esteem, and to believe in their status in his heart. As for looking down upon them and despising them, there is in that a sin that is sufficient, may Allah keep us safe.
The whole of the Muslim is sacred to his fellow Muslim, his blood, his wealth and his honor.
Sunan Ibn Majah 3933Sahih (Darussalam)
. This means that the Muslim is forbidden to the Muslim in these three matters, in everything, because these three matters encompass everything. Blood: such as killing, wounding, and the like. Honor: such as backbiting. Wealth: such as consuming wealth. Consuming wealth has many ways, including theft, usurpation (which is taking wealth by force), denying a debt owed to another, claiming what is not one’s, and others.
All of these things are forbidden. It is obligatory for the Muslim to respect his brother in his wealth, his blood, and his honor. And success is from Allah.
