The reader: And may prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said, in mentioning the context of the verses and hadiths in the chapter on being kind to orphans and daughters: "Allah the Exalted said:
(1) Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense? (2) For that is the one who drives away the orphan (3) And does not encourage the feeding of the poor. أرأيتَ الذي يكذب بالدين * فذلك الذي يدع اليتيم * ولا يحض على طعام المسكين
[Al-Ma'un 107:1-3]
, and from Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: كنا مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ستة نفر فقال المشركون للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : اطرد هؤلاء لا يجترئون علينا، وكنت أنا وابن مسعود ورجل من هذيل وبلال ورجلان لست أسميهما، فوقع في نفس رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ما شاء الله أن يقع، فحدث نفسه فأنزل الله تعالى : ولا تطرد الذين يدعون ربهم بالغداة والعشي يريدون وجهه We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) six men, and the polytheists said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Drive these men away so they do not dare to confront us. I was there, along with Ibn Mas'ud, a man from Hudhayl, Bilal, and two men whose names I do not mention. So what Allah willed to occur occurred in the heart of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and He inspired him, so Allah the Exalted revealed: Do not drive away those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His Face., narrated by Muslim"
