The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions:
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted: " From Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise," showing his middle and index fingers and separating them أنا وكافل اليتيم في الجنة هكذا، وأشار بالسبابة والوسطى وفرج بينهما
Sahih al-Bukhari 5304
, Al-Bukhari narrated it.
And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The guardian of an orphan, whether his own or another's, I and he will be in Paradise like these two, and the narrator, who was Malik ibn Anas, gestured with his index and middle fingers كافل اليتيم له أو لغيره أنا وهو كهاتين في الجنة، وأشار الراوي وهو مالك بن أنس بالسبابة والوسطى
, Muslim narrated it.
And from him, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Miskin is not he who is dismissed with one or two dates, and with one morsel or two morsels. (In fact) miskin is he who abstains (from begging). ليس المسكين الذي ترده التمرة والتمرتان ولا اللقمة واللقمتان، إنما المسكين الذي يتعفف
Sahih Muslim 1039b
, Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim "
