How is gentleness reconciled with taking revenge for Allah the Exalted?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
How is it possible to reconcile seeing a wrong and taking revenge for Allah with forbidding it through wisdom, gentleness, and good admonition?

Answer:
One forbids it through wisdom, and this is part of anger for Allah:
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is bestادْعُ إِلَى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلْهُمْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ
[Surat al-Nahl: 125]. One does not remain silent. However, if the wrong is against oneself, there is no harm in forgiving and remaining silent.
