What is the ruling on talking while the radio is playing the recitation of the Qur'an?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible to play the Qur'an while a person is talking?

The Shaykh : If a person needs to talk, he should not turn on the radio to the Qur'an, nor the recorder. However, if he is a reciter and is listening, that is good.
O servants of Allah, it is a problem. The important thing is that if a person has work to do, he should talk and not turn on the Qur'an. The Qur'an is too great for people to be talking and neglecting it. This is a form of neglecting the Qur'an: leaving it to recite while you are occupied with your affairs and talking to people. Either listen to it or turn it off. The matter is broad, praise be to Allah.
