He would lead the Maghrib prayer and come back and perform two Rak'ah (supererogatory prayer). When he (ﷺ) had led the 'Isha' prayer, he would enter the house and perform two Rak'ah (supererogatory prayer).

Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah 294Sahih Isnād (Zubair `Aliza'i)

.

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
The author said in *Riyad al-Salihin*: "Chapter on the Sunnah of the Zuhr prayer", and he mentioned several hadiths, all of which indicate that Zuhr has six rak'ahs: four before it with two taslams, and two after it.
And that if a person forgets or misses the four rak'ahs before Zuhr, he should pray them after Zuhr, because the rawatib are made up just as the obligatory prayers are made up. However, there is a hadith narrated by Ibn Majah:
That he begins first with the post-prayer Sunnah, then with the pre-prayer Sunnah. أنه يبدأ أولًا بالسنة البعدية ثم بالسنة القبلية
: For example, if you come for Zuhr and the imam is praying, and you were unable to perform the rawatib before the prayer, we say: Pray. And when you have finished the prayer and its dhikr, pray the two rak'ahs after the prayer, then pray two rak'ahs and two rak'ahs for the ones before the prayer. This is the Sunnah.
And in these hadiths is evidence that a person should guard the rawatib, based on the statement of 'A'ishah:
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) never left off four rak'ahs before Zuhr. كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لا يدع أربع ركعات قبل الظهر
: meaning he does not leave them off. However, when traveling, he does not pray the Sunnah of Zuhr, neither the one before nor the one after, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not pray the rawatib of Zuhr when he was traveling. And success is from Allah.
