The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
He (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Chapter on the Prohibition of Seclusion with a Non-Mahram Woman
Allah the Exalted said:
And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition
[Al-Ahzab 33:53]

It was narrated from 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir (may Allah be pleased with him)
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Avoid (entering a place) in which are women (uncovered or simply to mix with them in seclusion)." A man from the Ansar said, "Tell me about the brother of a woman's husband." He replied, "The brother of a woman's husband is death."

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
No one of you should meet a woman in privacy unless she is accompanied by a Mahram (i.e., a relative within the prohibited degrees).

It was narrated from Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The sanctity of the wives of Mujahidun (i.e., those who strive hard and fight in the way of Allah) for those who remain at home (i.e., those who do not go to the battlefield to fight Jihad) is like the sanctity of their own mothers. Anyone who remains behind to look after the family of a Mujahid and betrays his trust, will be made to stand on the Day of Resurrection before the Mujahid who will take away from his meritorious deeds
Riyad as-Salihin 1630

The reader: “
will be made to stand on the Day of Resurrection before the Mujahid who will take away from his meritorious deeds whatever he likes till he is satisfied." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) turned toward us and said, "Now, what do you think إلا وقف له يوم القيامة، فيأخذ من حسناته ما شاء حتى يرضى ثم التفت إلينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال ما ظنكم
Riyad as-Salihin 1630
Muslim narrated it.”

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book *Riyad al-Salihin*: "Chapter on the Prohibition of Seclusion with a Non-Mahram Woman"
A non-mahram woman is one who has no mahram relationship with you, such as a paternal aunt's daughter, a maternal aunt's daughter, a paternal uncle's daughter, a maternal uncle's daughter, or the like. Or, if she is not among your relatives, the term "non-mahram woman" here refers to one who is not a mahram to you. Seclusion with her is forbidden.
A man is not alone with a woman but the third of them is Ash-Shaitan.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2165Sahih (Darussalam)
So what do you think of those with whom Satan is the third? If we think that they will be exposed to fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), I seek refuge in Allah.
Then he mentioned His saying, the Exalted:
And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition
[Al-Ahzab 33:53]
meaning, do not enter upon them; rather, ask them from behind a hijab so that seclusion does not occur.
Then he mentioned the hadith of 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Beware of entering upon women.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1171Sahih (Darussalam)
This is a severe warning.
A man said, “Messenger of God, tell me about the relatives of a woman’s husband,” to which he replied, “The relatives of a woman’s husband are death.”
Mishkat al-Masabih 3102
"In-laws" means the relatives of the husband, such as his brother, his paternal uncle, or his maternal uncle. These are the in-laws. As for the father of the husband and the son of the husband, they are mahrams. But his close relatives, such as his brother, his paternal uncle, and his maternal uncle, are not mahrams. He said:
The relative is death
This is one of the most eloquent words of warning, meaning that just as a person flees from death, he must flee from allowing his relatives to enter upon his wife and his household without a mahram.
This indicates the severity of the prohibition. The entry of the husband's relatives into the husband's home is more dangerous than the entry of strangers, because these people enter on the basis of being relatives, so no one objects to them. And if they stand at the door and ask permission, no one objects to them. Therefore, it is forbidden for a person to allow his brother to be in seclusion with his wife.
Some people are lax in this matter. You find a man who has a wife and an adult brother. The man goes to his work and leaves his wife and his brother alone in the house. This is forbidden and not permissible, because Satan runs through the son of Adam like blood. But what is the solution if there is only one house? He must make a door between the men's area and the women's area, keep it locked, and keep the key with him. He takes it with him and then says to his brother, "This is your place," and to his wife, "This is your place." It is not permissible to leave the doors open, because he may enter upon her, and Satan may incite him to rape her. Perhaps he will pamper her and deceive her until she agrees, and it will be as if she is his wife; he enters upon her and leaves, and he does not care. We ask Allah for safety.
Among the types of seclusion is seclusion with a driver. That is, a person has a driver and a woman or a daughter. It is not permissible for him to leave the driver with the woman or the daughter alone, except with a mahram. This is because seclusion in a car is greater than seclusion in a house, because in seclusion in a car, he can converse with her, and then they can go to any place and he can commit a sin with her. Who would stop him? Therefore, it is forbidden for a person to allow his family to leave his wife, sister, or daughter alone with the driver, even for the distance of five steps. It is absolutely not permissible.
If someone says, "What if a woman is studying, and her father is sick or busy and cannot manage, and she must study?" We say, no. Whoever says she must study: the study that necessitates falling into what is forbidden is forbidden. She must stay in her house. As for study, praise be to Allah, there is good among the male youth. If a woman has the basics, she can review and enroll. But for her to go alone with the driver, this is forbidden. It is feared that the one who allows his family to do so may be subject to the description of a "diyath" (a man who is indifferent to the honor of his family), which is one who approves of his family committing a sin. But he has not approved of them committing a sin; rather, it is feared that this may be a means to it. And success is from Allah.
