The Ruling on Assisting One Who Is Undutiful to His Parents
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: What is the ruling in Islam regarding one who assists a person in his undutifulness toward his parents?
A: The ruling is that it is forbidden, and that he is disobedient to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) in doing so, based on the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) : [Al-Ma'idah: 2]. Therefore, it is obligatory for the one who does this to repent to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and to be cautious of returning to such a sin, based on the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) : [Al-Nur: 31]. And success is from Allah.

And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.
And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.
