A: The Qur'an and supplication are a cure for all evil by the permission of Allah, and the evidence for this is abundant. Among it is the saying of the Exalted: [Surat al-Fussilat: 44] and His saying: [Surat al-Isra: 82]. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he was afflicted with something, would recite in his hands at the time of sleep Surat: [Al-Ikhlas 112:1] and (the two Mu'awwidhat) (three times), then he would wipe with them over as much of his body as he could, starting with his head, face, and chest each time at sleep, as the hadith is authentic regarding this from 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her).
