The ruling on one who vows to buy a gift for a person, and then the person for whom the vow was made dies

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our sister asks and says: If I vowed to buy a specific gift for a person when a certain thing happens for me, and this person died, what should I do? Do I give the amount in charity? Or what? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
If the person for whom the vow was made dies, the vow is invalid, and nothing is required of the one who made the vow; because the intended purpose is to give it to him, and a dead person is not given anything; the ruling of his ownership of the gift has ceased, so the vow is invalid at that time, and nothing is required of the one who made the vow, yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
