Expiation for one who utters a word of disbelief
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
We move on to a message received by the program from Aden from one of the female listeners, the daughter of Abdullah from Aden. The daughter of Abdullah sent four questions, one of which says: If Satan the accursed plays with a person and his tongue utters a word of shirk (associating partners with Allah), does he have an expiation to atone for this great sin, and what is this expiation?
Answer: He must hasten to repent to Allah through repentance and regret, by regretting what happened to him and resolving firmly that he will not return to it. He must make a sincere resolution that he will not return to it, and he should increase in seeking forgiveness and doing righteous deeds. For Allah, (Exalted and Majestic is He), says in His noble Book: [Al-Furqan: 68-70] , and He says, (Exalted and Majestic is He): [An-Nur: 31]. So the cure for every sin, whether it is disbelief or otherwise, is repentance. And if it involves a legal limit (hadd) such as zina (unlawful sexual intercourse) or the like, then its cure is by the application of the legal limits prescribed by the Shari'ah. However, the servant should conceal himself with the concealment of Allah and not expose his 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered). Rather, if something happens to him, he must hasten to repent between himself and Allah, (Glorified and Exalted is He), and turn to Him, asking Him to grant him repentance. He should regret what has passed, resolve not to return to it, and strive to stay away from the causes of evil and from sitting with the people of evil. And Allah accepts the repentance of the one who repents . Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.

(68) And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. (69) Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated - (70) Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
