The ruling on a man kissing his mahrams, such as kissing his wife

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: He says: Is it permissible for a man to kiss his sister or some of his mahrams, like he kisses his wife, even though this is widespread in some regions?

Answer:
It is permissible for a person to kiss his mahrams, such as his sister, his paternal aunt, or his maternal aunt; there is no blame on him for that. It is established that al-Ṣiddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) entered upon his daughter Aishah while she was suffering from a fever, so he kissed her on her cheek. Thus, kissing is permissible, but it should not be on the mouth. It is better that it not be on the mouth; the mouth is for the wife or the slave woman. As for kissing mahrams, it is better and more cautious that it be on the cheek, the nose, or the head; this is what is better, because it is further from fitnah and desire. Yes.
