Ruling on Kissing Mahrams

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener (F. H. Sh.) from Dammam sent a message saying:
What is the ruling on kissing the mother, sister, grandmother, paternal aunt, or maternal aunt on the cheek or the mouth? I have heard that this is not permissible, and that the kiss should be on the head or the hand. Is this correct?

Answer:
There is no harm in kissing the mother, grandmother, sister, or daughter on the cheek. It is established that al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) kissed Aishah on her cheek. As for the mother and grandmother, it is more appropriate to do so on her head or her nose, as that is more fitting for honoring and respecting them. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh: As for the mouth, it is better to leave it.

The presenter: For mahrams?

The Shaykh: Because that is for the husband. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
