Guidance for One Who Makes Mistakes in Reciting the Noble Qur'an
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The last question is from the listener (S. M. S), an Egyptian working in the farms of al-Qassim. He says: I love reciting the Qur'an, and I have memorized much of it. Some surahs I read well, but when I recite others to people, they tell me: "You are breaking the Qur'an, and this is forbidden." I ask for your guidance, may Allah reward you?
Answer: You must strive and read to any of the brothers who are more knowledgeable about the Qur'an than you, so that you may gain greater insight into the Qur'an. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 798a. So you are on the right path, if Allah wills, as long as you strive and take care; you are on the right path. This is the path of learning: you read, repeat, and reflect on the letters, and you do not rush until you benefit. If someone more knowledgeable than you becomes available to you, read to him and ask him about anything that may be difficult for you. In this way, you will benefit, errors will decrease, and correctness will increase. Do not be satisfied with your recitation, no, rather test your recitation and read it to someone more knowledgeable than you if it becomes available, so that you may add knowledge to your knowledge, and so that you may improve your recitation by reading to someone more knowledgeable than you. This is what you should do, this is what is required of you. Along with this, continue reading to yourself and do not rush, and reflect on the letters, and in this way you will be successful, if Allah wills.

One who is proficient in the Qur'an is associated with the noble, upright, recording angels; and he who falters in it, and finds it difficult for him, will have two rewards.
