The Ruling on a Woman Shaking Hands with a Non-Mahram Man

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner : Your Eminence! There are many questions about a woman shaking hands with a man, or the reverse, and our sister Sa'diyah is also asking?

Answer:
The Shaykh : The answer to this has been given in this program more than once, and that it is not permissible for a woman to shake hands with men who are not her mahram (a relative one may not marry), not her mahram, and it is not permissible for a man to shake hands with a woman who is not his mahram. As for a mahram, such as his sister or his aunt; there is nothing wrong with it.
The Shaykh : As for a woman shaking hands with a non-mahram man, such as her cousin, or her husband's brother, or her sister's husband, this is not permissible, even if there is a barrier between them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
But I do not shake hands with women.إني لا أصافح النساء
Sunan Ibn Majah 2874Sahih (Darussalam)
And Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said:
By Allah, the hand of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) never touched the hand of a woman; he only pledged allegiance to them with words.والله ما مست يد رسول الله يد امرأة قط، ما كان يبايعهن إلا بالكلام
(peace and blessings be upon him). And that is only because they are a trial; and because shaking hands with them is a means to falling into a trial with them, for touching her hand and knowing the condition of her hand may lead to a trial, until some of the scholars of knowledge said: that it is more harmful and more dangerous than looking. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
