Ruling on distributing food after the burial of the deceased

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In her second question, she says: In our city, rice or barley is distributed immediately after the burial of the deceased. Is this permissible? We have not distributed anything ourselves; we only distributed from her money one week after her death. May Allah reward you with good?

Answer:
There is no basis for this, namely distributing this item, whether rice or dates, upon death. However, there is nothing wrong with giving charity on his behalf over time in future periods. As for believing that distribution at the time of death or at the burial is a recommended practice, no, there is no basis for this. But after that, if the deceased's family wishes to give charity on his behalf to the poor and needy in money or food, there is nothing wrong with that, provided they do not specify the time of death, the time at the grave, or the day of death. This has no basis. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, Your Eminence the Shaykh.
