How do you pay the zakah on a salary?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
How does a person pay the zakah on his wealth if his salary is, for example, seven hundred riyals per month?

Answer:
If this salary is spent on his needs and nothing remains with him, he owes no zakah. However, if he saves it because he lives in a house where he is supported, such as by his father or someone else, and he keeps these salaries, then he must pay zakah on them whenever the lunar year completes. So, when the lunar year completes for the salary of Ramadan, he pays its zakah in the corresponding Ramadan. When the lunar year completes for the salary of Shawwal, he pays its zakah in Shawwal. When the lunar year completes for his salary in Dhul-Qa'dah, he pays its zakah in Dhul-Qa'dah, and so on. Each salary is subject to zakah in the lunar year that corresponds to its own cycle, meaning when the full year has passed. If he pays the zakah of the later salary together with the earlier one, and advances the zakah of the later one to be paid with the earlier one, he has merit in doing so, and there is no harm in it.
For example, he pays the zakah of Shawwal together with the zakah of Ramadan, or he pays the zakah of Dhul-Qa'dah and Shawwal together with the zakah of Ramadan by advancing it. This is good, sufficient, and there is no harm in it. Yes.
