The Ruling on Images Found on Carpets

Question:
We conclude the questions of this questioner: Muhammad, an Egyptian working in Saudi Arabia, with this question: Is there any harm in the covers on the bed that have images of peacocks, or birds in the house?
Answer:
There is no harm in images on a carpet or the like; for it is established from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) removed the curtain that had an image in it, she said: We made two cushions from it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to sit on them." And in Sunan al-Nasa'i and others, with a sound chain, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) "That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had an appointment with Jibril, so Jibril came and did not enter. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him about the reason, and he said: 'There is a curtain in the house with images, bones, a statue, and a dog. So order that the head of the statue be cut off so that it becomes like a tree, and order that the curtain be made into two cushions that are trodden upon or used, and order that the dog be taken out.' So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that the statue be cut, and its head was cut off, and the curtain was made into two cushions, and the dog was taken out. It was a puppy they found under a bed of theirs, and they brought it in to al-Hasan or al-Husayn."
This indicates that there is no harm in prostrating on something that is used or trodden upon, but image-making is not permissible, neither in woven fabric nor otherwise. Image-making is not permissible, but if something with an image is found on a carpet or a cushion that is used; then there is no harm. Yes.
