The ruling on Friday prayer and the two festivals for those working in oil fields in the desert?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A letter reached the program from the Libyan Jamahiriya, sent by our brother, listener Muhammad Ali Shu'ban. Our brother Muhammad says in one of his questions: We work in one of the oil fields in the desert. We have a mosque inside the field. The field has only one gate, and the nearest area is about forty kilometers away. There is no one residing inside the field, or outside it with their families. The longest period any of us might spend in the field is approximately forty days. We do not have a designated imam. The question is: Is the festival prayer and the Friday prayer valid in this mosque? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
As long as the situation is as the questioner described, you are not required to perform Friday prayer or the festival prayer; because you are not residents; rather, you stay for forty days, then you return to your families. So, in this situation, you are like the inhabitants of the desert who pray Zuhr as four rak'ahs and 'Asr as four rak'ahs, and so on.
You are not required to perform Friday prayer, as long as the matter is as you mentioned: there are no residents, only workers who work for a maximum of forty days, then return to their families, and others come in their place. So, you must perform the five daily prayers in congregation. Your most virtuous and best reciter among you should lead you. If you choose one to lead you who is your best reciter, that is more preferable and better. You are not required to perform Friday prayer, nor the festival prayer. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
