The ruling on eating from what is slaughtered in the middle of Sha'ban and other seasons

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The sister (Su'ad J. M.) sent a message containing a collection of questions. In one of her questions, she says: It is customary in our country to slaughter animals in seasons such as the middle of Sha'ban, the first of Ramadan, and the twenty-seventh of Rajab. Is it permissible to eat from such slaughtered animals?

Answer:
As for slaughtering in the middle of Sha'ban or on the night of the twenty-seventh of Rajab, this is a religious innovation (bid'ah) with no basis. It should not be done; it is not permissible to do it, nor to eat from it, due to the lack of evidence. In fact, it is among the innovations.
As for a person drawing near to Allah in Ramadan through slaughtering and giving it in charity, Ramadan is a blessed month in which it is prescribed to be generous in spending and to give charity to the poor. So if one slaughters in Ramadan, or in the last ten days of Dhul Hijjah, or at other times, and gives it in charity, all of this is good. However, singling out the night of the middle of Sha'ban, or the night of the twenty-seventh of Rajab—as some people do by celebrating these nights—has no basis; in fact, it is an innovation. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
