Ruling on the pilgrim hastening and traveling on the eleventh day

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
You say finally: Does the one who hastens in stoning the pillars owe a sacrificial animal if he travels on the eleventh day from Makkah?

Answer:
It is not permissible for anyone to travel before stoning on the twelfth day; hastening is on the twelfth day, so no one may hasten before the twelfth day. If he stones the pillar on the twelfth day, he may hasten: he performs the farewell circumambulation, then travels. As for hastening on the eleventh day, no; or on the morning of the twelfth day, no. Hastening is on the twelfth day after the sun passes its zenith. Then, if he stones after the sun passes its zenith, he goes to Makkah and performs the farewell circumambulation if he has already performed the circumambulation of 'Arafah; he performs the farewell circumambulation, then travels if he wishes. If he has not performed the circumambulation of 'Arafah, he performs the circumambulation of 'Arafah, the circumambulation of Hajj, and travels; this suffices him for the farewell circumambulation, if it is after stoning on the twelfth day or the thirteenth day. And if he performs two circumambulations, the circumambulation of Hajj and the farewell circumambulation, that is more complete and better.

The presenter: May Allah reward you. Your Eminence, the Shaykh, what is required of the one who traveled on the eleventh day?

Answer: He is required to offer two sacrificial animals: one for leaving off the stoning, and one for leaving off the farewell circumambulation, because the farewell circumambulation was not in its proper place; he circumambulated in a place other than the place of farewell. And a third sacrificial animal if he did not stay the nights of the eleventh and twelfth in Mina, because staying in Mina on the nights of the eleventh and twelfth is obligatory if one is able. If he is able to stay in Mina, it is obligatory for him on the night of the eleventh and the twelfth. And it is obligatory for him to stone the pillars on the eleventh and twelfth, then the farewell circumambulation after that.
So if he leaves one of these: he did not stay two nights, or he did not stone the pillars on the twelfth day, or he performed the farewell circumambulation before stoning the pillars on the twelfth day, or he left without performing the farewell circumambulation; then he owes a sacrificial animal for each one. A sacrificial animal for the farewell circumambulation if he left it off, a sacrificial animal for leaving off the stoning on the twelfth day, and a sacrificial animal for leaving off staying in Mina on the nights of the eleventh and twelfth. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you and bless you.
