The Permissibility of Reciting the Qur'an at Any Time

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
She says about herself: "I read one part of the noble Book of Allah every day, on most days after the Fajr prayer, and sometimes during the day. But I have heard people say that reciting the Qur'an in the last third of the night is [prescribed]. They also say that reciting Surat al-Kahf on Friday is not valid except after the sun rises. After finishing it, one reads Surat Yasin, Surat al-Rahman, Surat al-Waqi'ah, and Surat al-Mulk. Please guide me regarding these matters. May Allah reward you with good."

Answer:
Reciting the Qur'an is prescribed at all times: after Fajr, after Zuhr, after 'Asr, after Maghrib, after 'Isha', and in the last part of the night. So the one who tells you that it is [only] in the last part of the night is a mistaken ignoramus, a compound ignoramus, with no basis for it. And his work in reciting after Fajr is good work; because after Fajr the soul is good, and one is at rest after sleep, so you are free to reflect and to benefit more.
So the point is: that recitation in all times is good, whether night or day. But you should... it is recommended for you to seek the appropriate time in which your humility is greater, your availability is more complete, and the presence of your heart is better and more complete. This is the best, whether in the night or the day.
As for reciting al-Kahf, you read al-Kahf at any time on Friday, after the Fajr prayer, or after the sun, or after the prayer, or after 'Asr; it is all good. The best is to read it on Friday in any part of Friday. As for reading Yasin, al-Mulk, al-Waqi'ah, and what you mentioned after it; this has no basis. All of this has no basis. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
