The ruling on the mu'adhdhin forgetting to say: "Prayer is better than sleep"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says: Sometimes I forget to say "Prayer is better than sleep" in the Fajr adhan. I remember it after I have finished the adhan. What is required of me in this regard?

Answer:
It is a recommended practice (sunnah) in the Fajr adhan. If you remember it shortly after, say it and then repeat "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illa Allah." If you repeat the entire adhan, that is good and fine; because it is an important recommended practice by which the Fajr adhan and the dawn are recognized, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that "Prayer is better than sleep" be included in the Fajr adhan.
