What is the ruling on repentance for one who owes rights to people?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If a person stole and then repented, is the repentance sufficient?

Answer:
Repentance wipes out what came before it, but one must satisfy the rights of those who have been wronged. If he repents with a sincere repentance, he satisfies Allah and the rights of those who have been wronged, and their rights are not lost. Their rights remain, and Allah satisfies them regarding them if the repentance is valid.
