Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
How can reconciliation be achieved between these things and the killing, beating, and hatred that is happening in our Islamic world now?

Answer:
This is part of the strangeness of Islam.
Q: What is the remedy?
A: The remedy is mutual advice, and cooperation in righteousness and piety among Muslims, among the callers to the truth, among the people of knowledge, and among the sensible people. This is the obligatory duty. Allah says:
cooperate in righteousness and pietyوَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى
[Al-Ma'idah: 2], and He the Exalted says:
The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrongوَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ
[At-Tawbah: 71], and He the Exalted says:
(1) By time, (2) Indeed, mankind is in loss,وَالْعَصْرِ ۝ إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ ۝
[Al-'Asr 103:1-2]
except those who believed and did righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience [Al-Asr: 1-3].
There was great bloodshed, estrangement, and fighting between the Aws and the Khazraj. So when Allah guided them to Islam and they cooperated in righteousness and piety, He removed that because of the faith, guidance, and piety that Allah gave them. And so it was among the Arabs; the tribes used to raid one another and kill one another. So when Allah guided them to Islam and they knew the prohibition of that, some of them stopped [attacking] the others.
So there is no remedy for this except through religion. If they lose the religion, the disasters come, and the affliction comes—may Allah keep us safe.
