Reading from Ibn Aqil’s commentary (may Allah have mercy on him), with the Shaykh’s annotations: " .

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: " And it is common in the description of fa'laana *** or its feminine, or on fa'laana:
And like it is fa'laanah, and adhere to it in *** the manner of 'tawil' (long) and 'tawilah' (long, fem.), which suffices:
That is, and it is also established that fa'ilaan occurs as a plural for a description on fa'laan, or on fa'laanah, or on fa'ila, such as: 'atshan (thirsty) and 'atash (thirsty, pl.), and 'atshy (thirsty, fem.) and 'atash (thirsty, pl.), and nadamanah (companionable, fem.) and nidad (companions, pl.), and likewise it is established "
.

The Shaykh : Now, the author's statement:
" And it is common in the description of fa'laana *** or its feminine " :
What is the feminine of fa'laan? It is fa'ila and fa'laanah, because the feminine of the description fa'laan is sometimes on the pattern fa'ila, like sakran (intoxicated) and sakray (intoxicated, fem.), and sometimes on the pattern fa'laanah, like: nadman (companionable) and nadamanah (companionable, fem.). This is the meaning of: " or its feminine " .
He said " or on fa'laana ", it occurs, yes.
The reader: What is nadman and nadamanah here?

The Shaykh : Nadamanah, yes.
