Ruling on the prayer of a sick person sitting down

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
You also ask and say: In my prayer, I am unable to stand. I pray while sitting because of an illness in my head that causes me pain. So, you ask about the ruling on that?
Answer: If a sick person is unable to stand in prayer, it is permissible for him to pray sitting down. If he is unable to sit, it is permissible for him to pray on his side. If he is unable to pray on his side, he prays lying on his back. So, the matter is, with the praise of Allah, broad. And Allah the Exalted says:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[al-Taghabun: 16], and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to 'Imran ibn Husayn when he was sick:
offer prayer in standing condition; if you are unable to do so, then in sitting condition: if you are then at your sideصل قائماً، فإن لم تستطع فقاعداً، فإن لم تستطع فعلى جنب، فإن لم تستطع فمستلقياً
Sunan Abi Dawud 952Sahih (Al-Albani)
.
So, you, O sister in Allah! Do what you are able to do. If you can stand, stand. And if you are unable because of the dizziness or the weakness you have, pray sitting down. And likewise, if you are unable to sit, pray on your side, and the right side is better. If you are unable to pray on your side, pray lying on your back, with your feet facing the qiblah. This is what is prescribed. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
