The ruling on adding to the recitation of al-Fatihah in prayer

Her last or second question says: I am studying in the completion stage, and I wish to read the Qur'an, but I am unable to do so. I only read a part, or like Surat al-Kawthar or al-Nasr, and so on. When I bow in Fajr and other prayers, what is the ruling on my prayer if I am unable to read anything valid after al-Fatihah?
Answer: The obligatory part of the prayer is al-Fatihah; it is a pillar of the prayer, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 247Sahih (Darussalam) So al-Fatihah is a pillar of the prayer, whether it is an obligatory prayer or a voluntary one. The rest is a recommended practice. If she is not proficient in anything but al-Fatihah, then al-Fatihah suffices for her, and her prayer is valid, whether it is obligatory or voluntary, praise be to Allah. However, if it is easy for her to memorize a number of surahs, that is better and more excellent for her, so that she reads with al-Fatihah whatever is easy for her. And the more she increases in memorizing whatever is easy of the surahs, the better and more excellent it is for her. So I advise the questioner to strive to memorize whatever is easy of the Qur'an, such as Part 30 (Amma) and whatever is easy with it, so that she reads with it in her prayers. If that is not easy for her, then al-Fatihah suffices for her, praise be to Allah.
