The ruling on using prayer beads for dhikr

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is there anything in the Shari'ah regarding dhikr using prayer beads?

Answer:
Leaving it is better; because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite dhikr with his fingers, so the Sunnah is with the fingers. But if a person does it in his house, it does not harm him in his house, or with pebbles or seeds, or with knots tied in strings, there is nothing wrong with it.
But with his fingers is better. As for carrying them with him in mosques and elsewhere, this should not be done; at the very least, it is disliked; the least of its states is that it is disliked; because it is contrary to the Sunnah; and because this may lead to showing off in worship (riya'), so a believer should not engage in that.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
