Is the one who forbade his family from wailing before his death punished if they disobeyed?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If a person dies, and before his death he used to forbid his family from wailing over him after his death, and then they did so, is he punished as mentioned in the hadith?

Answer:
We hope for him that he will be safe if he forbade them and warned them. We hope for him that he will be safe. We hope for him. The hadiths are general. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
It was narrated from ‘Umar bin Khattab that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The deceased is punished for the wailing over him.”الميت يعذب بما نيح عليه
Sunan Ibn Majah 1593Sahih (Darussalam)
This contains a prohibition for the family from wailing and a warning to them against wailing.
As for him, he has fulfilled what was required of him, and safety is hoped for him. But it is not permissible for them to wail, and he is feared from that wailing due to the generality of the hadiths. But as long as he forbade them and warned them, it is hoped that he will be safe; because he fulfilled what was required of him in terms of conveying the message, warning, and cautioning. Yes.
