Ruling on praying Fajr after the sun has risen due to deep sleep

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner: May the Shaykh be respected, this is a caller to the program who says: Peace be upon you and Allah’s mercy and blessings. My question—O respected Shaykh—is that I am negligent in the Fajr prayer and sleep through it, not waking up until the sun rises at nine o’clock. I try all means, but to no avail, and I feel sadness and distress afterward.
So I ask your respect to guide me to what is in my good.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and peace upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance.
It is obligatory for the believer to strive against his own self until he performs the prayer in its time with the congregation. And you, O questioner, must pay attention to this matter. If you stay up late, leave staying up late and sleep early, so that this may help you, if Allah wills, to get up at the time of prayer. And if there are other causes, leave them so that you can sleep and wake up at the time of prayer. Striving is necessary. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says:
And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good.وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
[Al-Ankabut: 69] And He says, Glorified is He:
Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayerحَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلاةِ الْوُسْطَى
[Al-Baqarah: 238] So striving is necessary, and patience is necessary. Address the matter with what you are able to do. Study the causes that lead to this laziness and weakness in you so that you know the causes, and stay away from them, whether they are causes related to staying up late or other things, so that you sleep well and get up on time. Set the alarm for the time that is suitable, whether the time of the adhan or a little before it, so that it is easy for you to perform wudu or ghusl if ghusl is required of you, with ease.
The point is: treatment is necessary, and asking Allah for success and assistance, and do not weaken in this matter. Rather, you must treat it by sleeping early and by taking measures to wake up at the time of prayer. Yes.

The presenter: Respected Shaykh, is it permissible for him to ask the neighbors and the brothers who are keen on the Fajr prayer to wake him up for it?

The Shaykh: Yes, good. This is from the category of cooperation in righteousness and piety. It is from the category of cooperation if he might sleep and not hear the alarm due to the depth of his sleep. He must ask his family who are with him in the house, his mother and his sisters, to strive with him and wake him up. They must cooperate with him. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says:
cooperate in righteousness and pietyوَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى
[Al-Ma'idah: 2] So his mother, his sister, and whoever is in the house must help him in this, because he might not hear the alarm due to the depth of his sleep.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
