I hope you will clarify the path that will free me from intrusive thoughts?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says about himself: Your Eminence, I am prone to forgetfulness in prayer, and I often think about worldly matters during prayer. I know that this is from the whispers of Satan, and I have tried to overcome it, but it seems I have not succeeded yet. I ask your Eminence to clarify the path that will free me from these intrusive thoughts? May Allah reward you with good and forgive you.

Answer:
We advise you to be humble before Allah and ask Him to help you, and to protect you from Satan and his whispers. So you must be humble before Allah and ask Him for help, and you must turn to Allah in your prayer, being present with your heart before Allah, so that you may be safe from these intrusive thoughts. And Allah the Exalted says:
And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our waysوَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا
[Al-Ankabut: 69].
So you must strive:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way outوَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا
[Al-Talaq: 2]. Strive against your self, ask your Lord for help and success, and turn to your prayer, being present with your heart in it, and strive against the enemy of Allah, Satan. If he overpowers you in prayer, spit to your left, spit to your left three times, and say: "I seek refuge in Allah from Satan," even if you are in prayer. This is among the means of safety from the schemes of Satan. Some of the Companions complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about these intrusive thoughts; so he guided them to spit to their left three times in prayer when the intrusive thought overpowered them; so they did that, and Allah cured them of it.

The presenter: And Allah is the Helper, may Allah reward you with good.
